We're excited to announce our upcoming release on September 24, 2025! This update includes new features and enhancements requested by our stores, along with important bug fixes. Here's a preview of what's coming:
New Features:
- reCAPTCHA for Newsletter Signup Forms: reCAPTCHA will now be available for newsletter signup forms.
- Search In-Stock Books Only: Customers will have the option to filter search results to display only in-stock books.
- Disable Checkout: A new option to temporarily disable checkout on the website will be available.
- Manage Orders (BETA) Becomes Default: The beta version of "Manage Orders" will become the default. IndieCommerce is preparing all websites for this change.
- Maintenance Mode: IC Staff can set your site to maintenance mode with a custom message. Admins can still access sites in this mode.
Feature Updates:
- Message Center: Messages on the admin dashboard Message Center will now be ordered with the latest message appearing at the top.
- Shipping Solution Order Export: Reports will now utilize Batch API for improved performance, reducing timeouts during downloads.
- Book Variations:
- Custom Descriptions and Additional Information: These fields are now available for variations. Values will inherit from the parent book by default but can be overridden.
- Order Displays: Order emails, invoices, and receipts will now display the variation SKU.
- Preference Field Titles: Preference field titles will now precisely match what was entered during creation (e.g., "Personalize or signature only?" will display exactly as entered).
- Content Scheduler: Content scheduled for 'publish' or 'unpublish' will now be checked every 5 minutes instead of 15 minutes.
- Site Announcements: Announcements can now be restricted to the homepage only (alerts will continue to appear on all pages).
- Custom Footer: Expect better alignment of columns and uniform fonts in the custom footer.
Bug Fixes:
- Book Variations: A random "Product Page Text" appearing on book variations has been removed.
- Restore Editing of Migrated Products: Store staff can now save edits to the description field of migrated products, addressing an issue on some migrated sites.
- Store Pricing by Wholesaler Discount Category: The discount/markup percentage value should not be empty, with a value of 0 for none.
- Order by SKU: The quantity column has been fixed to remove duplicate entries.
- Sales Summary by Year: A bug that resulted in a 0 count for some months has been resolved.
- Event Tag CKEditor: Table borders have been removed to match tables in other content types.
- Event Date & Time: Date and time alignment on mobile devices has been fixed.
- Store Merchandise Search: Inconsistencies with search results for store merchandise have been addressed.
