Feature Updates

The following updates will be included in next code release scheduled for Monday, November 11, 2024

E-Commerce & Order Processing

  • Gift Cards
    • Option to set the Maximum amount allowed. Default is no maximum limit
  • Order Manager Permissions
  • Order Receipts 
    • More updates to the receipts based on feedback from stores. The goal is make the font smaller, remove unnecessary white spaces, and move important information to the top of the receipt.
  • Sales Summary Report
    • Similar to the reports available on IC 1.0
    • Customizable Sales Reports
      • Sales Summary
      • Sales per Year
      • Custom Sales Summary
  • Suspicious Orders
    • An additional filter on the Manage Orders page to filter out the suspicious orders. Orders that trigger the fraudulent checks are considered to be suspicious orders
    • A shortcut can be created from the Dashboard

Content

  • Events
    • Extent End Date for an Event Series
      • Current Behavior : After creating an event series, if the series end date is modified to extend the series, the entire series is deleted and recreated by the system. This erases all the overrides made to the event instances in the series.
      • This Update : An option to change the end date of the series to extend it
    • Create custom URL Alias for single day events
      • Current Behavior : Changes made in a previous release to make it easier to manage single day and recurring events removed the option to customize URL Alias for single day events
      • This Update : The option to add custom URl Alias for single day events is restored. Recurring events are unaffected.
  • Local Books Search 
    • Local Books is one of the terms used for books not in the IndieCommerce Book Database and added directly to the website by the store. Stores may refer to these by other names
    • Current Behavior : Local Books have to be searched under Merchandise and not Books, which is not intuitive to site visitors.
    • This Update : Stores can create separate Search Categories for Merchandise and Local Books and include all the local books into the Local Books category. This will add a Local Books search category to the search form. Stores can customize the term Local Books. With the given architecture, it is not possible to combine these local books with the default book search, adding a separate search category is the next best solution.
  • Logout Link / Icon
    • Admins on the site will now see the logout icon on all the admin pages, on the top right
