Subscription
Subscriptions allow customers to pay once and receive books over a period of time. Use subscriptions for book club selections, kids boxes, or other such services.
Site Administrators and Content Editors can create, edit, and remove subscriptions.
Select Create in the left menu, select Product, then Subscription to create a subscription product.
Create Subscription
All components and fields with a red asterisk (*) are required.
- Enter a Title for the subscription.
- Enter a SKU to identify the subscription product.
- Enter additional information about the subscription product in the Description text editor. This could include a description of the books included in the subscription and how frequently the items ship.
- Select Add media to add a Featured Image displayed on the subscription’s left side. The Minimum Recommended Width is 800px. You can add a new image or select one that is already in the library. Only one image is allowed per gift card.
- Enter the Price populated of the subscription.
- Define a Preferences form to collect customer information for the subscription.
- Enter the Name that displays with the field, select a field Type, then select whether the field is Required. Select Add another item to add additional fields. For example, if you’re creating a book club subscription, create fields to collect the customer’s name, email, and address (only one allowed). Then add radio buttons to choose whether to ship the books or pick up the books at the store. If you have more than one book club subscription (e.g., literary book club, YA book club, store book club), add a dropdown that allows the customer to select the book club they want to receive books for or add checkboxes for each type of subscription. Or add a dropdown to select the staff member whose picks the customer wants to receive.
- Create a custom URL alias by unchecking Generate automatic URL alias under URL path settings in the upper right and entering the alternate path.
- Leave Published selected to publish the subscription product to your site. Unselect if you don’t want the subscription to publish yet.
Select Save to save the subscription product.
